Helse Fonna HF (Fonna Hospital Trust) has approved the expansion of the hospital in Haugesund as well as the consequent reconstruction in the existing building. The construction project is called ByggHaugesund2020. The preliminary project was approved by the boards of Fonna Hospital Trust and the Western Norway Regional Health Authority in spring 2017.
