Bergen Municipality has approx. 900 km of water pipelines and approx. 1 200 km of sewage pipelines. There is a major focus on the renewal of pipelines, and our objective is to renew 0.7 — 1 % of the pipeline network per year.
The renewal is being undertaken with both excavation and No Dig/excavation-free methods.

The contract work comprises the expansion of the existing road on a stretch of approximately 3.3 km. A new footpath shall be established along the entire route and the road shall be expanded to 2 lanes.
