Ecological classification has previously been carried out in the relevant water bodies. Bodies of water that have a moderate or poorer ecological condition have been followed up further with measure oriented monitoring for several years, and this monitoring will now be followed up for the next three years + one year + one year + one year. The monitoring concerns only eutrophication problems, and clay river watercourses are included. The tender includes both chemical, bacteriological and ecological monitoring.

2011-08-24Environmental monitoring of sugar kelp along the Norwegian coast (Klima- og forurensningsdirektoratet)
The programme shall examine the macro-algae and benthic composition on and in relation to selected kelp stations in Southern Norway. In addition, the temperature shall be monitored using temperature loggers on the kelp stations and data on key hydrographical and chemical support parameters obtained at given hydrographical/chemical stations. Based on objectives, the programme shall provide annual information of riverine inputs of nutrients and selected hazardous substances to Norway’s coastal areas, how the inputs change over time and geographical distribution of the inputs.
