The Norwegian Environment Agency wants to follow-up the previous findings of LCD substances made in the recycling facility for EE-waste. The screening programme 2024 found high levels of LCD matter in and around such plants. We will continue to examine these substances at other locations and sample types in order to determine if the substances are found elsewhere than in the recycling facility and whether they are supplied to the environment.

Stocks of hops and day butterflies are monitored to document the condition and uncover changes over time. Data from the monitoring programme are indicators of the open lowland and forest ecosystems in the Nature Index for Norway, which is further included in the Ecological Condition Trade System.
