Monitoring of contaminant loads and levels in Norwegian coastal and offshore areas

This procurement is a continuation for one year of monitoring and modelling of loads of hazardous substances and monitoring of ocean acidification in Norwegian sea areas.
In 2012 the surveys are primarily connected to the management plan area for the Barents Sea and the sea areas off Lofoten. The programme consists of sampling of cod (4 stations), sediment (8 stations) and sea water (2 stations). In addition passive samplers for seawater and air shall be set out at three stations. Ocean acidification shall also be monitored on 5 different stretches in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea. In addition available monitoring data and data of discharges and inputs of contaminants from other monitoring programmes and data sources shall be collected. This shall be used to model contaminant loads to 4 different regions in Lofoten/the Barents Sea divided between 8 different sources (see annex B – Work Extent).

A short and general description of the company shall be enclosed. This is to include an account of the company’s business idea and core activities related to the delivery, an overview of the company’s history and a description of the current activities.
