"Submitting Mo i Rana" is a collaboration project for the execution of several sub-projects in Mo i Rana in partnership. The project owner and contract parties are the Norwegian Coastal Administration and Rana municipality, where the cooperation is regulated in a formal cooperation agreement between the participants. The project includes dredging and construction of a new deep water quay at Langneset, west of Rana industrial terminal and dredging at the Toranes terminal.

Oslo Municipality has started work on securing the previous landfill site on the Langøyene islands and facilitating for recreation and bathing for Oslo’s growing population. The measures will, amongst other things, involve covering the landfill surface on land and at sea, erosion protection of the front of the landfill, water and sewage via a submarine cable to the mainland (drawing the submarine cable is not part of the project), as well as upgrades to beach facilities and wharfs.
