Randaberg Arena is Rogaland's large hall and the artificial grass and other facilities shall be of top quality. A decision must be made before the tender as to whether the Pad must be replaced and possibly specified in the tender, in addition to the new artificial grass. The pad has not been cast. Sørmarka Arena is planned to be adapted for major concerts for up to 15-20 000 persons. Room acoustic improvements shall be carried out in the hall and measures that can make the hall more suitable. The ceiling surface in the northern and southern halves of the hall have very different sound absorbing qualities. A sealed steel plate roof has been used in the southern end, whilst a perforated steel plate ceiling has been used in the northern end. This gives large local variations in the sound.
