Tirås Tunnel is on county road 566 between Kvisti and Mjeldal in Osterøy municipality outside Bergen. The tunnel will be upgraded in accordance with the tender documentation, the Tunnel Safety Regulations (TSFF) and Vestland County's [VLFK's] approved action plan. The tenderer will be responsible for all engineering design and all deliveries, applications and execution of the road network until the installations are fully upgraded and built, secured, safety-approved and documented with the services described.

The tenderer will be responsible for all engineering design and all deliveries, applications and execution of the road network until the installations are fully upgraded and built, secured, safety-approved and documented with the services described.
The tenderer will also be responsible for temporary operation of the road and tunnel, including electrical installations and safety equipment during the construction phase.
The project will also be carried out on a model-based basis, with supplementary drawings required for applications, approvals, detailing and interaction.
Relevant regulations are applied to meet safety requirements, quality requirements and requirements regarding expertise. Pre-accepted services in the Byggforsk series and REN blade series should be used, as other chosen systems must be risk-assessed and documented.

The contract goes from metering S1D1 M905 to S1D1 M3470, the tunnel has metering 1100-3120. In addition, an outer closure point will be established in the north, at the junction with Haus.
