The work consists of the renovation of Festning Tunnel on the E18 in Oslo, in the western part of the Opera Tunnel and the pump station at Bygdøylokket. The work in the tunnel mainly consists of the establishment of escape lighting, fire protection of concrete tunnels, a new PE arch in the Danish tunnel, traffic safety measures in breakdown lay-bys, measures to prevent drips and icicle formation in the main tunnels and ramps at Vestbane junction, the replacement and upgrade of technical equipment, mainly in the ramps at Vestbane junction and outside the tunnel, painting the tunnel, establishment of a sedimentation basin in an existing room, water and sewage work and new technical rooms in (T5) the exit ramp at Vestbane junction. In addition to the work in the tunnel, work is to be carried out in 2 open air zones. The work in the tunnel must only be carried out at night, in one direction at a time.
