Procurement of translation and revision services

Utenriksdepartementet

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs c/o the Unit for EEA translations, needs contracts with external providers who can assist with the following:
— — Translation from English to Norwegian (bokmål or nynorsk) of EU legislative acts that shall be included in the EEA agreement.
—- Revision (quality assurance) of translated legislative acts (bokmål or nynorsk).
—- Determination of terminology in cooperation with competent departments/underlying departments and the unit's terminology, as well as registering terms in a terminology database. The terminology work is an integrated part of the translation and revision work. When translating, the translator shall determine terms in cooperation with the relevant competent authority and register the terms in the terminology database. At the revision stage, the reviewer shall quality assure the translator's proposed terms and, if required, make changes and change the term's status in the terminology database.
