T11 Storsandes — Langnesbukt

Statens vegvesen Region nord (The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Northern Region)

This contract (T11) includes section 1 that goes from Storsandnes in Langfjord to Langnesbukt. A new road and tunnel shall be constructed from Storsandnes at the Troms side of the section to section 2 at Langnes at the Alta side of the section. After the section has been completed there will no longer be necessary to drive round Isnestoften, and the E6 between Troms and Finnmark will be shortened with three km.
The works comprise the construction of a road in open air as well as a tunnel. The main works will be the construction of the Ailegas tunnel with T9.5 profile and a length of 3 400 metres. An 850 metres long road in open air at the Langfjord side of the section, and a 750 metres long road in open air at the Alta side of the Ailegas tunnel shall also be constructed.
