E03 Solbakktunnelen from Hundvåg

Ryfast is the connection between the counties of Nord Jæren and Ryfylke. It consists of Solbakktunnelen (tunnel) from Strand to Hundvåg and the Hundvågtunnelen (tunnel) beyond Hundvåg as an alternative route and relief for the bybru (bridge).
The Solbakktunnelen is 14.3 km in length with a two-lane tunnel and will be the world's longest undersea road tunnel when completed. The E03 contract applies to approx. half of the Solbakktunnelen from Hundvåg and down to the island of Hidle. The other half will be managed from Solbakk and will be published separately and titled E02. The straining point for the E03 contract is Hundvåg located in the municipality of Stavanger.
