Procurement of review and independent quality assurance of avalanche danger in steep terrain (Norges vassdrags- og energidirektorat (NVE))
As a part of its landslide management efforts, NVE maps the risk of avalanches, slush avalanches, rock falls, rock slides, landslides, debris flows on behalf of the government in selected developed areas. NVE needs detailed modelling of displacement waves (tsunamis) generated by landslides (large rock avalanches) in fjords and lakes. The wave runup will be used for hazard zones and in some cases evacuation zones for unstable rock-slopes that are monitored in real time.
