The Municipal Council in Averøy has undertaken to rehabilitate the artificial grass surface and lay a permanent surface for athletics on four lane racetracks and six sprinting lanes and technical exercises; long jump/triple jump, shot-put and high jump with an option to lay a permanent athletics surface in the western slewing sector. At the same time, ground works for the athletics facility and measures for collection of snow and granules from the artificial grass field will be performed.

Averøy Municipality has decided to construct a new primary school by the Rangøy junction at Kårvåg. The school is to be dimensioned for approx. 240 pupils and an adjoining sports centre is also to be constructed. The school is to be ready for the start of the school year in August 2022.
