Snow cover Hallingskeid

Jernbaneverket

Subsequent to fire a new snow cover connected to Hallingseid station shall be provided. The length is approx. 260 m. The snow cover shall cover 2 tracks as well as the platform. The preferred building material is steel, but the Awarding Authority is receptive to alternatives, e.g. concrete or laminated wood.
The Hallingseid station is located in the high mountain with a height 1 100 m without access through public road. The construction season without snow is therefore limited. The works are requested to be initiated in this season so the assembly can be carried out during winter, if possible. Ground works and base plates shall be executed/delivered by another contractor.
