During the summer season 2011 restoration of the existing Norwegian/Finnish border fence shall be carried out. The length of the border fence section is 8 km from Bizosvággi to Skihparašša.
The poles that are weakened/decayed shall be replaced. Old level strings shall be removed and new wire with 4 strings over the wire shall be put out. The fence materials which shall be replaced are considered waste and shall be transported to a suitable waste disposal site.
