Restoration of a border fence at Skihparašša summer 2012

Restoration of an existing Norwegian/Finnish border fence on the stretch Skihparašša where the rbd 37 fence comes up to the border fence and to the point where the maintenance was stopped in 2011, a stretch of 2.4km in Troms county. Cf. the map below and the GPS point.
Approx. 240 posts shall be replaced and supplemented on the stretch. The wire on the existing fence is to be replaced with netting in addition to the top wire. The fence shall be fastened with a backstay where the fence has an angle, and these shall be marked.
The terrain is in an extreme area that consists of mountains/rocks and a lot of screes. The posts must be banged/drilled into the ground to a depth of approx. 50cm. Rock fixings shall not be used. Netting is to be put up with a netting height of approx. 125cm with at least 4 cramps per post, and with 4 rows of wire over the netting. One cramp per wire. The posts are standard impregnated border fence posts of 3 m, which are to be put up 3m apart. Cf. the border post standard for the Norwegian/Finnish border fence.
The construction of the fence shall be carried out professionally and it shall be approved by the reindeer husbandry agronomist.
The tenderer will be responsible constructing the fence to professional standards.
The old fence material/rubbish is to be transported to Vuordnaš car park. From here it shall be transported to a certified waste disposal site, the disposal receipt shall be produced.
The border fence stretch must not be left open during the restoration period, as there are reindeer on both sides of the border fence.
