The pond was built – 1915-1916. 1989 – Saltdal municipality has taken over the pond with the accompanying pipeline network for municipal water supply to Vensmoen. Closed down in 2008.The pond is no longer in function. Dam - break consequences class 2, does not satisfy the current security requirements.
