The objective of this framework agreement is to cover the contracting authority’s need for translations and text editing, and transcriptions.
The contracting authority would like to enter into a framework agreement with 1-3 tenderers to cover the need.
Translation means a translation of a source text that reproduces the meaning in the text in the best possible way (idiomatic translation), from one language to another.
Text editing means improving the sentence structure, correcting inconsistencies and removing unnecessary pleonasms. Get clarity in unclear formulations, unintended contradiction in terms or logical factions. Ensure that incomprehensible abbreviations and expressions are explained, or replaced with more comprehensible expressions. Remove words and expressions that can conflict with the body of laws or that are obsolete. Spelling and punctuation mistakes must also be corrected.
Technical translations and text editing will be required for the university's subject areas, such as health and social sciences, the humanities, social studies, technological subjects, economic subjects.

Objective and scope of the procurement
Technical translations and text editing will be required for the university's subject areas, such as health and social sciences, the humanities, social studies, technological subjects, economic subjects, as well as legal texts and texts for marketing.

Bokmål-New Norwegian and New Norwegian-Bokmål

'English' means British English.
Text editing is estimated to make up 70% of the services.
The framework agreement will be entered into for 2 years with an option for an extension for 1+1 year.
The estimated contract value over 4 years is NOK 2.5 million excluding VAT, based on historical figures. Note that the scope is not binding, the contracting authority cannot guarantee that the scope will be the same as the estimate.
The contracting authority reserves the right to use publishers/periodical's preferred partner for final text editing/translations before publication.
Tax certificate
Tenderers must have orderly conditions with regard to payment of tax, employer's national insurance contributions and VAT.
Norwegian tenderers must present certificates for tax, payroll tax, and VAT. One-person companies must present confirmation that they are not registered in the VAT register. Foreign tenderers must provide equivalent tax certificates from their countries.

The tax certificate must not be older than 6 months at the deadline for submitting a tender.
The tenderer or tenderers who are chosen to sign a contract must submit a tax certificate before the contract is signed.
General information on ESPD
Tenderers shall complete the attached ESPD form as provisional documentation of fulfilment of the qualification requirements and that there are no reasons for rejection and that any selection criteria are fulfilled. The form shall be submitted with the tender. The tenderer/s who are chosen to sign a contract must document fulfilment of the qualification requirements in accordance with the stated documentation requirements before the contract is signed.
