Molldøra and Småskallan, both in located in Vågan municipality, are areas in the northern part of Nordland County, where Molldøra is the strait between Lillemolla and Storemolla while Småskallan are submarine shells located outside Kabelvåg. (main fairway 1176 Henningsvær-Svolvær-Molldøra).
The planned measures in Molldøra and Småskallan are first and foremost safety measures and will not change the sailing / transport pattern or in the distribution of means of transport in the area. The measures must ensure that vessels with a draught of up to 6 m that use the fairway can safely travel through Molldøra. An alternative fairway for Molldøra for vessels with larger draught is Skrovsvedet.
