The project comprises building of 22.7 km of new railway track between Larvik and Porsgrunn. The terrain is very hilly, which leads to a large number of bridges and tunnels. Completion is planned for September 2018. A Contractor will now be acquired to build a complete electric supply system for the project with high and low voltage. Some own designing will be included in the delivery. The electric power contract is comprised of 21 technical rooms, with 24 kV switching stations, transformers for 22/0.69 kV and 22/0.23 kV, main and sub-distribution, as well as system solutions with distribution for UPS and SRO systems (Uninterrupted power/Managing regulation and monitoring). Also to be delivered and installed are: apparatus floor, fire warning and ventilation in technical buildings. Along the track there should be a 22 kV, high voltage cable for supply of The Norwegian National Rail Administration's own system, this is to be connected to Skagerak Energy's own network in Larvis and Porsgrunn (11/22 kV transformer in Porsgrunn). Points heating should be supplied and installed in the tracks, and exhaust fans in the tunnels. The following should be supplied and installed throughout the tunnels: lighting and sub-distributions in niches, and cabinets for electrical outlets. In addition, install emergency lighting systems with handrails and supply cabinets powered from the UPS facility, as well as escape signs. The emergency system is supplied to the contractor from a separate goods delivery (UFP14). Cable bridges and lighting will also be installed in the escape tunnels. All deliveries of cable are included in the contract, as well as earthing of components and equipment. The system will be constructed as a new system without existing infrastructure needing to be taken into account. A pilot stretch will be carried out before the main installation takes place. This is to ensure good quality, as well as ensuring that the Contractor is able to work effectively and coherently with a good, rational implementation of the assignment. Co-ordination must be expected with other contracts that take place parallel, this applies particularly for Pele, Signal and Overbygning and KL.
