The E105, which runs from Hesseng in Kirkenes to Storskogelva (the border station with Russia), will be upgraded with a new road, tunnel and bridge. A new bridge will be built at Elvenes over the Pasvik River, where this enters the Bøk fjord. The new bridge will be built approx. 200 m downstream of the existing bridge.
The bridge consists of approach spans (viaducts) in concrete with a 120-meter steel network arch bridge as the main span. Total length of the new bridge is 284 (26 + 120 + 138). The bridge foundations on rock and on piles, a total of 8 axes. Axes 1, 2 and 8 on rock. Axes 3-7 on piles in the rock.
Expected work-commencement date is 15.10.2014 with completion on 30.9.2016

Security shall be furnished by a bank, insurance company or other financial institution approved by the Project Owner. Accepted security includes the guarantee amount placed in escrow for the benefit of the Project Owner. Interest accrues to the contractor.
