960270 Værnes stop - E3 Steel and concrete constructions

Værnes stop shall be renovated in order to make it more attractive for plane passengers to travel by train to and from Trondheim airport, Værnes. The development is to be coordinated with the ongoing development of the airport. The existing platform and buildings are to be demolished. A new middle platform is to be established, 255 m long, 10 m wide and with a new platform height of 76 cm in accordance with the regulations. The existing concrete trough under parts of the platform and under the future new track shall be extended by approx. 85 m. Sheet piling shall be put up against the existing building parts. Sheet piling area approx. 280 m². Matter shall be replaced for the future new track and a supporting wall is to be established. An air-conditioned waiting room is to be established over the northern part of the platform, on a level with the new airport terminal. The waiting room is to be constructed on supporting steel columns and it will have a floor area of approx. 400 m². The room is to be connected to the airport terminal by footbridges, and to the platform by a lift, escalator and stairs.
A platform roof is to be established over the southern part of the platform with a steel supporting construction.
The platform is to be equipped in accordance with the station handbook and it shall have a public information system.
The stop shall be in operation throughout the construction period. In order to see to passengers' safety, the platform work must be carried out in two stages.
The project is planned to be carried out in lots:
- E1 Delivery of prefabricated platform elements;
- E2 Ground and concrete works;
- E3 Steel and concrete constructions;
- E4 Waiting room and platform roof;
- E5 Electro/tele installations;
- E6 Lift;
- E7 Escalator.
