2015-04-10E39 Rogfast — refraction seismic surveys on land and at sea (Statens vegvesen Region vest)
E39 Rogfast is a submarine tunnel between Randaberg and Bokn, which is being engineered, with an arm up to Kvitsøy in Rogaland.
Acoustic profiling and refraction seismic surveys have previously been carried at sea and on land. In addition directionally controlled core drilling has been carried out. The contract is for supplementary refraction seismic surveys to map the thickness of uncompacted matter and low speed zones over selected stretches of the planned tunnel.

Statens vegeseen Region Vest would like tenders for refraction seimic surveys on land. The surveys shall be used for a preliminary project for the development plan for a new four lane road connection between Kolltveit in Fjell municipality and Storavatnet in Bergen municipality. A municipal sector plan is available for road tunnels, including junctions in tunnels, connected to the new national road 555 between Sotra and Bergen.
