The power station is located near mountain farms and utilises a drop of approx. 58 metres in Nørdre Skålbekken (Skål Creek). This creek/river runs from Skåltjønna and further to Sikkilsdalsåa. The intake basin is approx. 200 m, and the power station can therefore be considered a so-called run-of-river power station. A separate system has been established for control and regulation of consumption.

Ramfoss kraftlag would like to procure a new complete trash rack cleaner with the necessary installation work and adaptations to the existing installations. The trash rack that shall be cleaned is 38 m wide with a threshold that is dived to 9 m.

2013-11-12Renewal of Benna dam 2013/2014 (Trondheim Kommune)
The contract is for the renewal of a brick gravitation dam so that it shall fulfil the current requirements in FOR 2009-12-18 no. 1600: Regulations on safety at river system installations (the dam safety regulations).
This mainly includes:
- reinforcement of downstream support filling;
- casting a new parapet and overflow profile;
- construction of a new hatch house;
- assembly of a new bottom drain hatch and a system for minimum water supply;
- electro work for the above mentioned points.
