The current 500mm water pipe shall be phased out and a new main water pipe on the Sandbekken - Sørlihavna section shall be established. We are therefore planning controlled boring for parts of the section. Controlled boring shall be carried out for 710 mm VL, 280 mm VL, 180 VL, 160 goods pipes for cables and 200 goods pipes for smaller water pipes.

The contract concerns the purchase and delivery of Sodium Hypochlorite (15 % NaOCl) and Lye, Sodium hydroxide (50 % NaOH) to NRV IKS.
NaOCl is dosed in connection with disinfection of the drinking water as one of several hygienic barriers.
NaOH is dosed to adjust the pH.
Annual consumption:
15 % NaOCl: approx. 30 tonnes/year.
50 % NaOH: approx. 80-110 tonnes/year.

PV 21 shall be constructed at Esval, which is located near Heksebergveien just north of where it crosses under the E6 (European road 6).
Previously, a large valve shaft (K5504) with an avalanche cover, was built just south of the location of PV21. From K5504, a 600 mm pipe socket has been lain, which continues in a 710 mm PE pipeline.
Also, a 710 PE pipeline must be lain for a connection to the exterior wall PV21.

PV21 will be a pressure increasing station that will increase the pressure up to 9 bar and pump between 20 to 355 l/s. The design pressure for the station is PN16 and the largest pipe dimension is DN700. Parts of the pressurised equipment/pipes are in pipe class/category I (table 5.1.1, NS-EN 13480-1:2017).
