A roadway with associated foot and cycle path will be established on the stretch Sjøskogen to Kleivan in Holmestrand kommune. The roadway will be approximately 2,3 kilometres long, and will run from the end of the asphalted road 160 metres north of the roundabout at Kleivan and down to the asphalted road at the Norwegian National Rail service tunnel at Sjøskogen.
A foot and cycle path shall also be developed along the entire new road, and shall connect to the existing footpath at Kleivan. A foot and cycle path of approximately 640 metres will also be established along the existing road from Sjøskogen and down to Fv 313 [county road 313] Fjordveien.
The roadway shall be designed in accordance with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s road standard N100, as a feeder road Sa2, speed limit 50 km/hour with AADT>1,500 (fig 11 in the preliminary project from Asplan Viak AS, of 3.11.2015, page 17. In the meantime the Contracting Authority will allow service providers to make reservations in regard to this road standard, see the description in the award criteria in point 7.2, particularly point 7.2.2.
