Norms and priorities for sickness absence

Sick leave in Norway is higher amongst women than men for all age groups and within all sectors, branches and businesses. Gender differences in sick leave can only partially be explained with sick leave related to pregnancy and other health problems that only concern women. Despite considerable research efforts, much of the reason for the gender difference in leave is still unknown. A number of studies are currently being carried out under the management of the Research Council of Norway.
Any gender differences in norms and attitudes to sick leave and priorities between home and work can be one of the several possible explanations behind the gender difference in sick leave. The project shall map norms, attitudes and priorities, amongst other things, in the relationship between work and family, work and leisure, work and own health. The project shall map differences between gender, age groups, education background, businesses, status in the labour market (professionally active (full time/part time), student, benefit receiver, pensioner), family status and number of children.
The project has 3 main problems:
1. Through which mechanisms can various norms, attitudes and priorities possibly explain the gender differences in sick leave?
2. Can relevant gender differences be proven in norms, attitudes and priorities?
3. How big influence do these possible factors have in the explaining the gender difference in sick leave?

Service provider's technical and professional qualifications
Qualification requirement:
- Service provider's must be able to refer to at least 3 contracts in the last 3 years with a relevance for this contract. Relevant in this context means contracts of an equivalent extent and content carried out for public entities.
Documentation requirement:
- Reference list of the service provider's 3-5 relevant contracts in the last 3 years. The reference list shall include information on the awarding authority's name and named contact person as a reference. Furthermore the extent of the contract must be stated in the reference list, and the value is also wanted. It must be clear what was provided and which role the service provider had in the contract, as well as any cooperation partners/sub suppliers.

- Description of the service provider's capacity, including a description of the service provider's organisation and any sub suppliers.
If a tenderer will use sub suppliers' capacity in order to be qualified, see point 4.3 and 4.4, the tenderer shall document to the awarding authority that it will be able to use the necessary resources at the sub suppliers. As documentation in the tender, the tenderer must enclose a binding statement, cooperation contract or equivalent documentation, in which the sub supplier binds the resources in question in accordance with the fulfilment of this contract.
