47/2013 Main water pipeline Skullerud - Enebakkveien

The Water and Sewage Department shall construct a new main water pipeline from Skullerud to Enebakkveien in order to ensure that the water supply in the Søndre Nordstrand district fulfils the safety and resilience requirements that are stipulated in the drinking water regulations. In addition the new main water pipeline will allow for the development of the Gjersrud - Stensrud and it will give increased transfer capacity to Ski municipality.
The conveyence of a Ø1000 water pipeline has been engineered from Skullerud to Enebakkveien in a driveable tunnel. The new pipeline will be connected to the pipeline installations located in Skullerud water treatment plant and the existing main water pipeline in Enebakkveien. Ductile cast iron will be used to convey water in pipelines with an option for GRP as the pipeline material.
The works consist of:
- Carrying out work in a main contract
- Conveying a Ø1000 water pipeline from Skullerud to Enebakk veien in a driveable tunnel, tunnel cross section of 26.5m2 for 4000m.
- Connections for a new water pipeline in an existing manhole with Ø800 water pipeline at Skullerud and connection to a Ø400 water pipeline in Enebakkveien.
- Constructions: Tunnel portals, standard foundations for a pipeline in a tunnel, anchorings of bends, fixing vertical pipes, manholes and the construction of a technical room.
- HVAC and sanitary installations: Air treatment aggregate and heat pump aggregate.
- Electrical installations: cable conveyence, earthing installations, low voltage energy supply, general lighting and emergency lighting.
- Tele and automisation: TETRA-network, system for emergency network and mobile telephony (GSM-based), video monitoring and burglary alarm, communication cables for transfering alarms, error messages and measurement values, fire alarm installations.
- Rock works:
- To establish a cross cut tunnel at Sørliveien
- To establish a main tunnel from the cross cut at sørliveien towards Skullerud and towards Enebakkveien.
- To establish an access tunnel at Skullerud.
- Portaling at Skullerud, Sørliveien and Enebakkveien.
- Shaft from the tunnel towards the existing installations at Skullerud and removal of rock inside the plant where the new pipeline shall be connected to the existing pipeline.
- Shaft for connection to the existing manhole at Skullerud.
- Niches for a technical room and other needs for expanding the tunnel.
- Securing and injection.
