The Ministry of Education and Research has asked the Norwegian Directorate of Education and Training to carry out a study of national tests as a system. The study shall consist of 2 parts:
Part 1: Reports from the County Governor post on how they follow up schools and school owners in their county before, during and after the national tests are held. The report shall consist of both technical information and qualitative evaluations of experiences and practices. The reports shall be submitted by mid january 2012 and the information from them shall form the basis for part 2:
Part 2: An external research based study aimed at school owners, head teachers, teachers and pupils/parents on the same theme. The study shall consist of both qualitative and quantitative data.
