Geodesic currently has a network of approx. 200 stations on the mainland and in the Arctic. The PGS network on the mainland is nationwide, with a station density of approx. 50 — 70 km. It is probable that the PGS network will be condensed via project needs with 40-50 new stations in the coming 4 years. Norwegian police at the Police Directorate, Oslo Police and Criminal Police have established a pilot project - 3D laser scanning - to test the extent to which 3D laser scanning of crime scenes, objects and events are applicable to Norwegian police, and how the method can best be used and implemented in police infrastructure.
