In the 2017 — 2020 finance plan, Sandnes City Council has approved the construction of a swimming pool at Iglemyr in Sandnes kommune. In the approved budget, 233 000 000 NOK has been set aside as investment funds for the project, including i.a. Site and engineering design costs and VAT. The swimming pool is approx. 5 400 m and shall contain one main pool of 25 m x 21 m, 2 warm water pools, grandstand with seating for 250 and associated rooms.
