The aim of the procurement is to phase out fragmented alarms and service systems, and collect this in a modern, service-friendly top system common to Noatun and Mørkvedbukta Research Station. New sensors for monitoring in accordance with new requirements shall also be included, with a focus on flexibility and expansion.

The County Governor of Trøndelag is the administrative authority for the marine protected areas Skarnsundet, Tauterryggen and Rødberget, all located in the Trondheimsfjord. The main objective for all three protected areas is to preserve the coral reefs that are located within the protective borders. In the current regulations, there is no prohibition regarding fishing and using fishing tools in the protected areas. The facility will be connected to land and must be the same as the old one in relation to placement, number and size of sea pens.
