The new facility must be in accordance with NS 9415 and be significantly renewed in relation to solutions for better and more modern work methods that safeguard HSE for the users. Heavy work tasks that have occasionally been carried out by trucks and smaller mobile cranes are intended to be carried out by using work boats with cranes that must have safe and efficient access to the facility from all sides. The use of trucks to freight goods to the facility will be limited to a floating quay linking the land and the facility. The floating quay will be facilitated for and used as a loading and discharge quay for the work boat and to bring smaller equipment out to the facility with hand trolleys and smaller motorised trolleys. New anchoring must provide free and unhindered access for different vessels around the entire facility.

The facility will have sixteen pens of 12 metres x 12 metres. Each pen must be easily divided with division cross into four equal pens. The facility must be delivered with or be facilitated for good and modern solutions that make the work easier and safeguard HSE in relation to normal work tasks such as tending, feeding and net handling. There must be trusses around the sea pens and around the facility for safety, net handling and to affix various equipment for research and operation. In addition to the trusses around the sea pens there must be railings around all of the sea pens to fasten extracted pens/nets. In addition to tending, lots of other work and research is carried out and therefore there must be good working space and space to move various equipment around. A four metre wide walkway is envisaged in the middle of the facility and three metre wide outriggers between the sea pens. In order to provide good working space for measuring and weighing operations there must be a six metre wide outrigger on each side in the middle of the facility with extra buoyancy. Around the facility there will be a walking track and access for different vessels, typically work boats and well boats. There must be good and flexible solutions for mooring and protection such as fenders/fender beams.

The facility must have good solutions for fixed infrastructure from land and out on the facility with branches to each cage to transfer electricity, data cables, fresh water, seawater and air. It is also important to have the opportunity to later lay cables safely in easily accessible hidden cable trays or similar for shorter or longer periods between different sea pens, to land or to deployed technical huts. The facility must be well adapted for different variants of feeding systems. There must be work lights on the facility and each pens must be able to be adapted for bird netting.

The facility must be delivered with with safety and mooring equipment; ladders, lifebuoys with throwing lines, boat-hooks, mounting pillar, stop pillars, moveable bollards etc.
The facility must be delivered completely assembled with gangway and davits, anchored in the sea and fastened on land. This includes a new anchoring plan and modifications for land attachment.
The existing facility and anchoring must be disassembled and removed. The old facility is required to be reused or disposed of for recycling in and good and environmentally friendly manner.

Option 1: Division cross, new
The contracting authority will have the option to purchase one to sixteen division crosses.
Option 2: Division cross, old
The contracting authority will have the option to modify the existing division cross.
Option 3 Bird net
The contracting authority will have the option to purchase bird nets or equivalent solutions.
Option 4: Entry restrictions
The contracting authority will have the option to purchase gates/sluices or security against unauthorised access to the facility.
