The Norwegian Coastal Administration has been given the task of holding a competition for transport services for pilots at sea, in practice this means transporting pilots to and from pilot assignments. The Norwgian Coastal Administration carries out approx. 45 000 pilot assignments along the coast and pilot vessels are used for approx. 39 000 of these assignments.
