The crematorium at Alfaset was constructed in 2009. The crematorium does not have satisfactory capacity for an increasing number of cremations. In addition it does not provide an optimum working environment nor fulfil government environmental emission requirements.

The competition applies to design, delivery and the installation of a complete cremation facility consisting of a cremation industrial furnace with inserts, an ash heater unit and peripheral equipment, but without the facility for purification of the flue gases.
