The contracting authority needs to enter into a framework agreement for the delivery of road salt for winter operations on the municipality's roads. Orders are normally placed 1-2 times a year, usually before and during the winter operations, and are normally for approx. 700-1200 tonnes each time.

2011-08-16EEA 040-2011- framework agreement for road salt and magnesium chloride for Bergen municipality (Bergen kommune)
Approx. 7000 tons salt (sea salt/rock salt) shall be delivered from silos for use in winter maintenance of municipal roads for the winter season (Oct – April). It is assumed that there will be access to the salt 24 hours a day throughout the winter season. Salt which is used shall be registered with ID, weight, date and time. The reports of the amount used must be in digital form. Good capacity and good access is required for loading large vehicles (lorries).
