During the summer seasons 2012-2014 Norsk Polarinstitutt (NP) will use a helicopter in connection with NP’s expedition company (Svalbardekspedisjonen) in the Svalbard archaepeligo and in the surrounding sea areas. The helicopter will mainly be used to transport personnel and equipment related to Svalbardekspedisjonen, and for tagging polar bears and air transport of instruments in connection with research.

The Norwegian Polar Institute would like to enter into a framework agreement for the annual processing of our ASL IPS5 data, as well as older CMR ES300 data. The amount of the annual processing will vary, according to how many instruments come in and their condition. How many data sets are processed will also depend on the level of financing for each project. Norsk Polarinstitutt shall purchase a bottom pressure sensor for measurements in arctic distant waters.
The instrument shall be used to measure full seawater depth, water level with high resolution, precision and stability.

2011-06-24Acoustic doppler current profiler (ADCP) (Norsk Polarinstitutt (Norwegian Polar Institute))
Delivery of current meters in accordance with requirement specifications given in annex. The current meters shall be used for measuring oceanic current in Arctic waters. The instruments shall be used to measure perpendicular profiles of the ocean’s hydrologic flow, temperature and pressure.

The Norwegian Polar Institute, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority shall procure a Nitrate Sensor for measurements in Arctic waters. The instrument shall measure time series nitrate concentration.
