‘Miljøgifter i en urban fjord’ (‘Environmental poisons in an urban fjord’) is a programme that shall monitor leakage and spreading of chemicals used in a densely populated area and review how this affect a fjord network. The programme shall include all supply of environmental poisons from potential sources, concentration measuring in marine organisms and risk of impacts. The programme includes sampling, analyses and reports thereof.

The ‘Ecosystem Monitoring Programme in Coastal Water — ØKOKYST’ is intended to monitor and survey the state of the environment in selected areas along the Norwegian coast. Miljødirektoratet (The Norwegian Environment Agency) coordinates the national watercourse liming which is carried out in Norway in order to counteract the effect of acid rain.
