BIR Privat AS, Department of Recycling Services, wants to establish a self-service and digitised payment system at the recycling stations, based on weight and ready to identify commercial customers, household customers and customers who do not live in BIR's owner municipalities. The system will collect data about waste delivered in the free zone and payment zone to be used in statistical analysis and invoicing, and will safeguard efficient flow through the station.

2020-10-08Throw-in Hatches for Containers NHH Project (BIR Privat AS)
BIR Privat AS is participating in a collaboration project with NHH (Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration) on research on behaviour economy, including incentives and different forms of ‘pushing’ to influence source sorting. The project has been given resources from the Research Council of Norway. Approx. 50 surface containers have been procured for the project. Digital hatches will now be procured for these containers. Each container will have two hatches so there will be approx. 110 hatches.

2016-09-13Pre-processing, grinding and milling of bulky waste (BIR Privat AS)
The assignment includes receiving, sorting as well as grinding and/or milling of bulky waste delivered from the Contracting Authority's locations. The Contracting Authority pays the cost of transporting the waste to the designated reception site. After the grinding and/or milling, the waste shall be delivered to BIR Avfallsenergi AS' energy plant in Rådalen, Bergen. The costs thereof shall be paid by the Contracting Authority.

2013-07-31Reception and treatment of contaminated and slightly contaminated soil (BIR Privat AS)
The procurement comprises reception and treatment of waste:
1603 slightly contaminated masses of soil, rock, gravel etc., and otherwise non-hazardous waste which meet the criteria for reception at the landfill for inert waste. Please see Waste Regulations Appendix 2, chapter 2.1. This chapter contains the thresholds/ criteria for delivery to the landfill for inert waste.
