Follow-up is to provide assistance with the aim of participants obtaining and/or keeping paid work. The aim is that participants shall, to the greatest possible degree, be self-sufficient with a permanent connection to working life. Follow-up can include career guidance, assistance with targeted job seeking and job development, guidance and advice connected to work participation, both for participants and employers, training in work related and social skills, as well as follow-up and facilitation at work, in order to facilitate a transition to work and ensure that jobs are kept.

This follow-up measure will be connected to the Centre for Mastering the Labour Market in Trøndelag.

The Centre for Mastering the Labour Market (hereafter called SFJ) offers job-orientated cognitive therapy in combination

with job-orientated follow-up for persons with light/moderate mental health problems. SFJ

consists of 3 therapists and a method supervisor who are employed in NAV, who will cooperate with job specialists in this follow-up measure. The total number of participants will be 40-60 at any one time, which equates to a need for 3 job specialists.

SFJ works on the requirements in Individual placement and support - hereafter referred to as IPS. The IPS method has been tested and has shown to have a certain effect for a new target group in the research project Centre for Mastering the Labour Market under the direction of Uni Research. IPS is based on the premise that persons with mental health problems who want to work can manage to do so if they are given the correct support and follow-up. The job-orientated support is given integrated with job-orientated therapy from SFJ and

the job specialist. The therapist and the job specialist will, in close cooperation with the participant, be drivers in the process in order to assist the participant in obtaining ordinary paid work. The work methods of the job specialists must therefore be in accordance with the quality requirements for IPS.

The job specialists ́ work methodology shall comply with the quality requirements for IPS.
