Opera Østfold AS

Opera Østfold AS, hereafter called the Contracting Authority, is a regional opera with four employees owned by Halden municipality and Østfold County. The contracting authority intends to be a professional producing regional opera, with high artistic quality. The main task is to produce spectacular outdoor productions at Fredriksten Fortress. The opera shall be the region ́s powerhouse within opera, music and performing arts. The opera shall simultaneously hold regional, national and international orientation. The aim shall be highlighted by: to be an offer to the entire population of the region, self-production and dissemination of high quality opera productions, collaboration with other music and performing arts actors, to contribute to the development of the region's art and cultural life.

Hovedtrekk ved prosedyren:
In June 2027, The Østfold Opera will perform an outdoor opera production of Georges Bizet "Carmen" at Fredriksten fortress in Halden. The aim of this procurement is to establish a contract with a main supplier of engineering and scenography for the production. A central aim is to facilitate general planning and delivery of cost efficient, high quality systems. All works shall be planned and executed in close cooperation with Østfold Opera's manufacturer, scenographer and technical manufacturer. The delivery shall be planned and carried out in accordance with the requirements in the attached requirement specification. The contract is subject to changes in budget, activities and political management that can affect the terms and premises for the execution or scope of the assignment. 1.2.2 The scope of the procurement contract includes engineering design, installation and hire of sound, lighting, AV and other engineering, as well as the construction of scenography and the delivery of relevant personnel for the production. The delivery in accordance with the Agreement will be phase divided, consisting of a planning phase and an implementation phase. The planning phase shall lay the basis for the final engineered solution and the cost estimate for the execution. The contracting authority ́s needs will be adapted to the work ́s further nature and extent, and it is carried out on the basis of call-offs purclosed with the attached contract. Further requirements for the delivery are stated in the attached requirement specification. The procurement is calculated to a value of NOK 4,000,000 excluding VAT. The statement in this point 1.2.2 is based on previous experience and does not obligate the Contracting Authority. The contract does not give the Tenderer exclusive the right to provide services within the above mentioned areas.
