The competence needs committee (KBU)2 (2021-2027) is a publicly nominated committee that will generate the best possible professional assessment of Norway's future competence needs.
The committee will submit a main report by 1 June 2023, which will draft the competence needs connected to green change. In the report, the committee will examine and highlight the competence needs of working life as a consequence of, and a prerequisite for green change. In addition the committee will analyse the contributions from both education and competence development in working life as regards meeting new and changed needs. The committee will dive deep into selected industries and problems. A general perspective for the main report is that the work will contribute to a lack of competence, to the least possible degree, preventing green change in Norway. In order to make good assessments of competence needs, the committee needs a better knowledge basis.
