Bodø kommune

Bodø municipality shall establish a new coastal path (Norwegian: 'Kyststi') on the section from Bodøsjøen in the west to Mørkvedbukta / Sjøåsan in the east. The total length of the section is approx. 6.5 km. Approx. 1.5 km of the section has already been developed, while this project includes the remaining 5 km. Bodø municipality's goal is that the coastal path is accessible for all, and simultaneously connecting the districts and contributing to Bodø being an attractive city and place to live.
The coastal path shall basically have a permanent gravel surface, but sections with concrete, wood and metal have been established in areas where extra adaptation is necessary to pass larger unevenness, gorges, streams, etc. Several retaining walls and bridges of different sizes shall also be established to ensure accessibility for the entire section.
Awater and sewerage system with 3 pumping stations will be established for parts of the section.
