The E39 is regulated in accordance with the road norm for a capacity strong street in accordance with hand book N100 (2019). The road must be dimensioned for a speed limit of 50 km/h. This is the current speed limit. The road is planned with two lanes, with a width of 3.5 m, a shoulder of 0.25 m on the north side, and kerb clearance of 0.25 m to the pavement on the south side. The road will go further south at the current ESSO petrol station. Several existing junctions and exits are to be altered along the E39. The junction in the west towards Hafstadvegen is regulated as a channeled junction with a left turn lane. The junction will be moved further east. This has been done in order to get a better junction with sufficient visibility, as well as to make room for a foot and cycle path. The alteration of the junction means that the existing petrol station (Circle K) must be demolished. The petrol station will be demolished in a separate contract, and will be completed before the start-up of the construction work for this contract.

Tenderers must have a system that shows that they work pro-actively to ensure safety, health and working environment (HMS), with relevance for equivalent work to that included in this contest. The system will be subject to periodic reviews.
