The purpose of the contract is to cover the contracting authority's need for services with associated works, within Ålesund Municipality inner and northern regions.
The inner and northern regions are considered to be the area within the municipality borders of the previous Ørskog, Skodje,
Haram and Sandøy before municipal merging on 1 January 2020.
Assignments in the contract will primarily concern:
Excavation and the transport of materials with associated works as a supplement to the municipality's own construction department.
Repair and maintenance works for the municipality's operations for water and sewage (W&S).
Work with pipeline breaks and the like, also during urgent need.
Works for the municipality's activities related to roads, green areas and plants (VGA).
Casting works that are naturally included in the already awarded contract for excavation works. (For example, masonry edging or repair of damaged masonry, etc.).
Other incidental work with adjacent character, for example such as blasting, backfilling, etc.
Various work for departments in Ålesund Municipality. For e.g. Ålesund kommunale eiendom KF (Ålesund Municipal Property KF),
Ålesund brannvesen KF (Ålesund Fire Service KF), Ålesundregionens havnevesen (Ålesund Region Port Authority), etc.
The list is not exhaustive.

The procurement regulations are as follows: PPR § 14-2 (1) Before the tender deadline expires the contracting authority can make corrections, supplements and changes to the tender documentation that are not significant. Such corrections, supplements and changes will be sent immediately to all suppliers who have received the tender documents. The contracting authority considers the error as significant.
