The purpose of the procurement is to engage a turnkey contractor for contract '5401 Security for the project New Clinic and Proton Building at the Radium Hospital'. The Radium Hospital is responsible for the services that are to be delivered.
The system must be ready for, and equipped with, technology and infrastructure that increases the future value of the building for users, owners and society. It is anticipated that buildings with future oriented technologies installed, which simplifies later integration of new technology and lays the foundation for new services and increased user-interaction.

The following system deliveries are included in the procurement:
— Access control,
— burglar alarm,
— TV-monitoring system (ITV/TVO).
The access control system shall be the main system for regulating the flow of patients, employees, students and visitors to the hospitals at different times of the day. It must at the same time prevent unauthorised access to people, information and documentation, prevent criminal acts, create security and be an important and useful system for Oslo University Hospital (Norwegian: OUS) so that loss of life/health and material/economic values are minimized. This is done by dividing the building into zones that are physically restricted by doors controlled by card readers and locked escape doors monitored by alarms. An ID card must be used for gaining access to areas with limited access.

An automatic burglar alarm system shall be also be installed which shall be integrated with the access control system and the TV monitoring system. The burglar alarm is an important part of the protection against burglary for certain rooms/areas with security needs inside the hospitals.

A complete TV monitoring system shall be delivered, including a presentation system. The system must contribute to the prevention and clarification of illegal and criminal acts.
The system must be prepared for connection to a future joint centralised security centre in OUS.
