Basic education will be procured for security guards in accordance with the curriculum — National Basic Education for Security Guards that was approved by the Police Directorate on 3 March 2017 (in accordance with version 3, 31 January 2019). The course for the training was determined by the Police Directorate on 30 March 2017. The course is available on politiet.no. The basic education will be held for persons who need security training in order to work as security guards and on duty services.
The basic education will form the basis for working as a security guard. The aim of the education is to safeguard public safety for those who are in contact with security guards and to ensure good quality security guard services. Furthermore, the aim of the education is to ensure that security guards can take care of their own safety.
