The purpose of the agreement is to ensure the organisation supplies of user-friendly multifunctional machines (MFP) and printers and high uptime. In addition, the contract includes installation, support, service and logistics. Multifunction machines are to be understood as machines and solutions with a main functionality for user authorised print-outs, photocopies and scanning.

Up until now, the contracting authority has had a lease contract with Canon Norway for more than 5 years, which includes approx. 240 MFP machines and some pure black/white printers. The majority are located in Marienlyst, the rest are in offices nationwide. The print volume has a clear falling trend in recent years, but we expect that the curve will flatten somewhat.

The value of the current contract is estimated to be between NOK 15-20 million, but we expect that the value will be reduced with fewer units. NRK aims to replace the complete park of existing machines with new from new supplier. As known to the public, NRK plans to relocate its headquarters at Marienlyst and expects this contract to cover our need for print services until then, which is estimated to be 5-7 years from now. It is also important that the agreement can be scaled up and down in the period.
