The detailed engineering design services included in this contract include, amongst other things, the following disciplines and roles:

• engineering design services HVAC and sanitary installations (RIV);

• engineering design services for electro/automation (RIE) for work that is not included in the turnkey contract;

• engineering design services for other disciplines;

• responsible applicant;

• coordinator in the engineering design services (KP).

The existing treatment facility at Gol receives municipal sewage water from Gol and the surrounding holiday cabin area, as well as effluent from Nortura's abattoir. The facility will now be altered to fulfil the requirements for secondary treatment. The facility will be dimensioned for 9 300 person equivalents (pe), measured as organic matter.

A process contractor has already been contracted with a contract from in accordance with NS8407 (turnkey contract), who is currently in the detailed engineering design phase for their installations. The scope of the turnkey contract includes:

• technical treatment installations;

• steps, platforms and equivalent, for access to process equipment;

• demolition, disassembly and disposal of existing equipment, within the contract limit;

• electrotechnical equipment for operating own process, including automation.

The turnkey contractor's process system will be the premise provider that the detailed engineering design services for the rest of the facility must comply with. The process system and design of the facility are described in Part II — Contract documentation, which, in short, comprises the following:

• pre-treatment (grates, sand traps) and an equalising basin in an extension of the existing facility;

• new biological treatment stage in existing sludge basins;

• sedimentation in an existing sedimentation basin;

• establishment of a new thin base mud stock and base mud stock within existing basins;

• installation of a new thickener machine and use of existing base mud stock;

• new dewatering machine (centrifuge).;

• necessary support systems such as chemical dosing and pressurised air installations.
